Already in spring this year there has been some good days with the weather so I took advantage of the ‘good’ weather for photography. So in the post we start off in the coastal town of Mallaig looking towards the Isle of Skye:
The picture above was taken shortly before we started driving back towards Fort William and eventually on to Glasgow.
Having left at roughly the same time as the train we thought to try and get it at a scenic place on the West Highland Line, so here is the ScotRail train leaving Arisaig heading towards Fort William with the hills in the background:
The next stopping point was at Corpach where the Caledonian Canal meets Loch Linnhe, this photograph taken looks over to Fort William and Ben Nevis:
After leaving Fort William for Glasgow we head through Glencoe it meant another photo stop as the sun started to set:
Having good weather for a visit to the Scottish Highlands seems pretty good but luckily on another trip there was some more good weather. Unfortunately I only took the one picture on this particular occasion. Here the sun is seen over Loch Rannoch:
Hopefully the summer will have some good weather so I can travel further round the Scottish Highlands for some more scenic shots from round the country.
